One of the greatest players in the world of soccer, Edson Arantes do Nascimento, popularly called Pele has passed on today 29th December 2022, aged 82 years.

Pele was born on 23rd October 1940 ,the News of the demise of the legendary Brazilian player, who won three world cups was made public this evening.

Tribute has continued to pour in for the legendary Brazilian, who has been in the hospital battling cancer.

Pele started his football career with santos fc in hometown Brazil, won different distinguished awards, such as World player of the century, FIFA best player of the year, and other distinguished individual awards.

Pele holds the record of the highest goal scorer in the game of football with 1279 goals in 1363 football games.

Pele will surely be remembered for the fierce rival he enjoyed Argentine Diego Amando Maradona in world football during their days.
